Mobile Rack

Our method is well proven in our own business, very simple, low cost, and extremely fast. The method utilizes high speed removable hard drives for backing up all the software and data in main computer server at the end of each workday. The hard drive is then pulled out of the chassis and carried off site by an owner or other highly trusted person.

At an off site location, another computer is prepared with a removable mobile rack chassis to receive the backup hard drive. To minimize costs, this backup machine could be an older unused computer dedicated strictly for disaster recovery.

The data from the backup drive is restored to the main hard drive in the Disaster Computer using the RESTORE command in your Windows Software and TESTED. This machine must be able to run your entire business immediately on a temporary basis. It can also be prepared with Network Cards, modems or other hardware to insure minimum downtime for setting up new networks. This restore operation does not need to be accomplished daily but probably once or twice a week; depending on individual preferences.

If we report to work one morning to find our business computers were destroyed for whatever reason, we will be up and running with an updated working backup computer within minutes. Does your business have this same confidence?
